* Heat Sensitivity or Impaired Temperature Regulation

• Infants, very young children, or elderly individuals with fragile systems
  Use with caution or under supervision to avoid overheating or dehydration.

• Multiple Sclerosis, Addison’s disease, lupus, or other heat-sensitive conditions
  Far-infrared heat may exacerbate symptoms—consult a doctor before use.

* Pregnancy

• Not recommended during pregnancy, especially in the first trimester or for extended sessions. Heating the abdominal area is not advised.

* Neurological Conditions

• People with seizures, epilepsy, or cognitive impairments
  May not perceive heat accurately, use with supervision or avoid unless cleared by a healthcare provider.

* Chemotherapy or Radiation Treatment

• If currently undergoing active cancer treatments, consult your oncologist.
  Far-infrared heat may influence cellular activity, which can be contraindicated during certain phases of treatment.

* Bleeding Disorders or Recent Surgery

• Avoid use during active internal bleeding or very recent post-surgical recovery (unless cleared by a provider), as heat increases circulation.

* Cardiovascular Conditions

• Those with unstable heart disease, low blood pressure, or those on certain medications (like beta-blockers or diuretics) may need supervision due to possible blood pressure drops from the deep heating effect.

* General Precautions

• Hydrate well before and after using the BioMat.

• Start with shorter sessions and lower heat settings, especially for those new to infrared therapy.

• Don’t use while sleeping on high heat settings unless specifically designed for long-use safety.
